Green Cardamom

Description

Often referred to as the ?Queen of Spices? because of its very pleasant aroma and taste, Cardamom is the dried ripe fruit (capsules of cardamom plant).

Indian cardamom is offered to the international markets in different grades based upon its quality. Cardamom oil is a precious ingredient in food preparations, perfumery, health foods medicines and beverages. India is a traditional exporter of cardamom to the world.

Cultivation of cardamom is mostly concentrated in the ever-green forests of the Western Ghats in South India.

It is used as a flavoring agent in whole and ground form in various kinds of dishes both traditional and modern including baked goods and confectionaries. It is also used in perfumery and Ayurvedic medicines.
